The Outdoor Vitals 100 Mile Challenge 2026 has just opened up for registration and if you're like us, you're stoked! And if you haven't heard of the OV 100 Mile Challenge, you've come to the right place.
In 2022, Outdoor Vitals launched the OV 100 Mile Challenge, which encourages hikers to push themselves by setting a mileage goal. Participants get high quality swag, a training plan, custom coaching, and a whole supportive community when they register and get hiking!
In 2025, I joined the 100 mile challenge and found it to be extremely helpful in my spring training. Everyone involved is so excited to be there, and there is a real sense of community. Everyone shares adventures, and it's a great time.
100 Mile Challenge
Whether you gain self-confidence, hiking endurance, or just some great stories, the benefits of stretching yourself are very real. The Outdoor Vitals 100 Mile Challenge is a joyous call to stretch yourself, complete with a community of folks looking to do the same.
When you join, OV is there to support you with an interactive training framework, and coaching from OV team members. You'll also get exclusive access to events, live calls, and a members-only Facebook group. Leaning into the community is a huge part of the 100 Mile Challenge. It makes it fun and helps to keep participants on track.
When you join the OV 100 Mile Challenge, you also get a hefty swag box full of gear from sponsors. This swag box is always packed with premium items that are useful to having a successful challenge.
In 2024 Outdoor Vitals 100 Mile Challenge participants tracked over 14,000 miles, with 83% of participants saying they'd happily be joining the challenge again. Those are some high-stoke stats and it really goes to show the power of nature, a supportive community, and Outdoor Vitals' commitment to the program.
Pushing Yourself
Everyone is unique and pushing yourself means something a bit different to everyone. Outdoor Vitals acknowledges this and they've set up the framework for the 100 Mile Challenge accordingly. Whether you dream of setting out on a thru-hike, choose to have a few backpacking adventures, or plan to stack up those miles with lovely day hikes, this is a challenge for you!
