Review: Energy Bars By Lecka Nutrition
All four Lecka Energy Bar flavors laid out trail-side. For really long days on trail I like to pack one of each.

When it comes to backpacking snacks, we’re always looking for something that’s actually good... not just another dense, chalky bar pretending to be yummy. Enter Lecka: a new player in the energy bar world that’s making serious waves. Born in Vietnam and inspired by local ingredients, these bars are light, nutrient-dense, and unexpectedly delicious.

Standout Features

  • Real ingredients: Think mango, banana and coconut.
  • Soft and chewy texture: No jaw-breaking protein bricks here.
  • Balanced energy: Each bar clocks in around 160 calories with no added sugars.
  • Sustainably made: All bars are plant-based, and Lecka’s packaging is eco-conscious and compostable.

Trail Testing Notes

I’ve eaten a lot of bars in the backcountry. Some taste like cardboard. Some are very tasty. And these? I definitely look forward to eating them. The Lecka bars are light enough to not weigh you down, but filling enough to be a solid mid-hike snack.

When I have them packed, I find myself reaching for one or two during long alpine pushes when I didn’t want anything heavy in my stomach, but still needed something with lasting energy.

The Cacao Banana Bar in all its chewy, nutty glory! Soft, satisfying, and packed with natural ingredients. This is one of my favorite flavors.

They also don’t melt, or crumble in my pockets. Bonus points for any bar where that's the case! Overall these are really simple energy bars. They sit well in my stomach even when I don't feel like eating, and the different flavors are unique enough to keep things interesting.

Just the good stuff with no added sugar. Of course there is sugar in these energy bars, as they're made from fruit! The sugar you see is from natural fruit sources, so your body can process it differently.
