Helinox Introduces TERG: Everyday Carry Built with Outdoor DNA
Helinox TERG blends outdoor-grade durability with refined urban design, creating everyday carry bags built for travel, creativity, and life on the move.

Helinox, the brand that defined lightweight, packable furniture, has officially introduced TERG, a new collection of everyday carry bags, packs, and pouches designed to bring Helinox’s outdoor-grade durability into daily urban life. Previously available only in limited runs and at Helinox Creative Centers in Korea and Japan, the TERG collection is now part of Helinox’s global lineup.

TERG stands for Trial and Error Research Group, Helinox’s in-house design lab where innovation comes first. Designers and engineers experiment relentlessly; so much so that nearly nine out of ten TERG designs never reach production. What makes it through is refined, intentional, and built to last.

Inspired by city life, travel, and fashion, TERG blends heritage materials like Italian and U.S. leathers, Japanese salvage denim, and organic cottons with modern technical fabrics. The result is a line of minimalist, thoughtfully designed bags that quietly showcase Helinox’s deep experience in performance engineering.

The original TERG Daypack was born from Helinox CEO Young Lah’s own travel needs: a bag that combined durable Cordura fabric, leather accents, smart organization, and airport-ready functionality. After 15 prototypes and multiple redesigns, TERG became a platform for merging classic materials with modern carry innovation.

Standout TERG Pieces

  • All Way Square Backpack ($130): A highly versatile pack with a zip-top opening, dual large compartments, removable shoulder straps, and a lightweight EVA framesheet for customizable organization—ideal for everyday carry and travel.
  • 3-Way Backpack ($150): Designed to switch seamlessly between backpack, crossbody, and briefcase carry, featuring performance fabrics and a wraparound zip opening for easy access.
  • Daypack V2 ($140): Built from ultra-durable, abrasion- and water-resistant materials with multiple access points, a separate bottom compartment, internal frame support, and waterproof YKK zippers.
  • Pack No.5 Briefcase ($130): A compact, highly organized bag with laptop storage, detachable straps, and multiple carry options.
  • Laundry Shoulder Bag ($100 / $130): Available in 18L and 35L sizes, this crossbody bag features generous storage, a shoe compartment, and a magnetic buckle system that keeps loads secure while minimizing bulk.

With TERG, Helinox brings its signature engineering mindset beyond the trail, creating everyday carry designed to move effortlessly between travel, work, and city life.
