I acquired my first pair of Kahtoola RENAgaiters Low back in 2019 and I pretty much wore them daily for hiking and trail running. I really liked that they were simple to take on and off with their zipper, which shockingly never unzips itself.
For quite a long time now, talking years not months, I have been rocking the RENAgaiters Low Ultra-Tough Gaiter from Kahtoola. From high alpine traverses in the Rockies to Sonoran Desert thru-hiking, and quite literally everything between these have been one of the pieces of gear I have relied on so much that I've never sought out an alternative. Not even out of curiosity. Simply put, the RENAgaiter is pretty much perfect for all the hikes you'd ever do.

The hiking I do varies a lot in terrain. Between rocky and dusty alpine terrain to sandy washes and flyin' mud, I ask a lot from my footwear, gaiters included.
