My Experience with Good To-Go Dehydrated Meals
The first time I experienced the scrumptious delight of Good To-Go Dehydrated Meals was on a backpacking trip along Lake Superior in 2015. It was a double serving of Thai Curry and it fully changed my expectation of what dehydrated backpacking food is capable of tasting like.
At the time I worked at an REI and I have fond memories of eating Good To-Go on lunch breaks. Little did I know then that nearly a decade later Good To-Go would be releasing microwavable cups for exactly that scenario!

Over the decade I have always enjoyed getting my backpack all set for adventure, knowing that I would be feasting on these meals in the backcountry. They make chilling at camp extra exciting. I enjoy bringing the single serving meals along on day hikes. At the trailhead I boil water and get them cooking, and by the time I'm at the mid-point of my hike, I have some super yummy food ready to chow down on. And because it's a single serving, it's just enough to satiate.
Generally speaking, a single serving package of Good To-Go has 400-500 calories. The Cuban Rice Bowl has the most calories, with the double serving offering a filling 1,070 calories. Speaking of filling, because these meals use real food and a good dose of vegetables, they are truly filling. They balance out fat, protein and carbs in a way that your body needs when you're working hard on trail.
My husband can't have dairy. He can choose from 12 different Good To-Go Meals with that allergy. I prefer to avoid gluten. The whole entire Good To-Go Dehydrated Meal is gluten-free. Their website has optimal navigation on the left hand side of the meals page, which allows you to filter for your dietary preferences.
My very favorite Good To-Go Dehydrated Meals are far and away the Asian cuisine. Chicken Pho, Thai Curry and Pad Thai: OH MY! They are so tasty that it's tempting to break into my backpacking stash while I'm hanging out at home and don't feel like cooking.
